A 281 PS hot hatch? Fully electric? So it’s got proper oomph, then?

Exactly, and for a whole week, hundreds of members of the press from all over Europe were able to experience this power first-hand – in the truest sense of the word! At the launch of the new Opel Corsa GSE.

Guided by our team of instructors, we set off at breakneck speed around the STARD Driving Camp circuit: tight bends, long straights, a fast slalom and right through the middle of our large circular module! Everyone was given the chance to experience for themselves just what this new sports car from Rüsselsheim is capable of, and how the brand’s heritage, dating back to the first Corsa A GSi from 1988, has been carried into the electric age.

As far as the media were concerned, it was far from over!

• Authentic rally stages (with professional drivers) across our off-road terrain
• Trips around the region, including to the beautiful Lake Neusiedl
• Test drives in all five Corsa Performance models since 1988
• Presentation of the Opel GSE 27FE and announcement the entry into the upcoming Formula E World Championship!

Incidentally, alongside Opel CEO Florian Huettl, the new driver for the coming season was also at the Driving Camp: Mitch Evans! The official announcement of his move to the Opel works team took place here (!) and so, once again, a very warm: All the best for your first season, Mitch!!
